A Room With a View (Or Not as the Case May Be)

Last week I was tagged by Deborah of This Vintage Life. My task is to show you the view from my kitchen window. Well this one made me laugh! Do I have views of rolling countryside? No. Do I gaze out onto undulating hills? No. Maybe I can see a beautiful forest stretching into the distance as far as the eye can see? Not on your nelly. Everyday as I stand at the sink and peel the vegetables or wash the dishes my eyes feast on.............a wall! Well here goes with the views from my kitchen. Firstly I thought I would show you the window with all of its clutter and all of the stuff I always seem to need.

Next up is the view from the window itself.

I've also taken a couple of pictures from the kitchen doorway and the dining room so that you can see a little more of our exciting view.

See, I told you it was exciting! Thanks Deborah - it's been fun to do. I'm not going to tag specific people - but if you can come up with a view better (or worse) than a wall then please join in and let us have a peek.

Now to me that's a sweet and charming view, a hidden haven. I'm very lucky with mine now but at my old place I'd have been mad with envy of yours - nothing but a pebble-dashed wall two feet away, that was it! Love the views from the door, very pretty indeed.

Hey! What's wrong with your view? I'd love an old wall in my garden...something to grow climbers up! And it's got that sort of secret courtyard thing going on...it's lovely. Thanks for joining in ~ it's great to take a peek at other peoples homes. Deb x

Hello, me again! I've just enlarged your pictures and your garden looks even better. I wish mine was that lush...I love your station clock..I was actually looking at them in the garden centre the other day pondering whether to get one...and it is my birthday soon!

Sorry, me again - I've just read your biog and seen one of your favourite books is Here Be Dragons. Me too! I love SKP's books and her new one is out in the autumn after a very long wait. Not sure if you know but it's called Devil's Brood and covers the stormy marriage of King Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine and the battles bewteen them and their sons. Sort of Lion in Winter in print. Can't wait.

I like the view from your kitchen window. It reminds me of the view from our first house we had in England.

I love the view. Your hanging basket looks lovely too. The whole view is so luscious and green. A perfect view mixed with cottagey Cath Kidson!

That's a great view. My next door neighbour is building an extension so now instead of looking over the gardens all we can see is a grey brick wall :o(
