Recipe for a Perfect Saturday

There's nothing like waking up on a Saturday morning with no-one to please but yourselves. It's bitingly cold outside although there is no frost. It's time to snuggle down in bed with a few good magazines and a mug of steaming hot tea.

Then when it's time to face the day what about a short journey to a local market town with luscious tea rooms

that also has wonderful views from its dining room windows?

It's just the sort of morning that you need a hearty breakfast

and a hot chocolate with all the trimmings.

Scrumptious.

Once breakfast is digested its off to gaze round some wonderful shops.

The wind is becoming increasingly cold and the skies a more intense grey, so we decide to leave the High Town via the steps into Low Town and make our way home.

Where it's a relief to be cosy in front of a warm fire

with tea and cookies.

I suggested a trip to Bridgnorth to hubby this morning but I couldn't get him to move from infront of the fire.

Hi thanks for your reply re the cottages - I have checked a lot of sites and British Waterways but you cant search for a waterside cottage. Hey I have been to where you live! We went on the tram ( we have here at Saltburn by the Sea - we sat on the seats near the river when we went down for ages in the sun ( well it was under the clouds) we had gone for a few days to Ironbridge and loved the area. We had lunch in the High town. Sometimes its difficult exploring when you don't know somewhere if that makes sense!!

HI FUNKY MONKEY, I WAS CHECKING YOUR BLOG AGAIN TODAY AND I NOTICED ONE OF THE BUILDINGS THAT YOU PHOTOED IN BRIDGNORTH WAS ONE I DID NOT RECOGNIZE. IT'S THE RED BRICK BUILDING WITH THE PINK CHAIR HANGING FROM THE WALL HIGHER THAN THE DOOR. IT LOOKS VERY INTERESTING. WHERE IS IT? IS IT NEW? BYE THE WAY, I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I CAN AGAIN RENT MY LITTLE COTTAGE IN JUNE. I AM SO EXCITED! I PLAN ON ATTENDING A CRAFT FAIR ON THE 30 OF MAY. YIPPEE I PLAN ON STAYING FOR 5 WEEKS. TAKE CARE
